Will the delayed Leopard slow Apple's sales?

Freshness Warning
This blog post is over 17 years old. It's possible that the information you read below isn't current and the links no longer work.

I’m planning on getting a new Macbook Pro to replace my two-year old Powerbook. Apple just bumped up the speeds of the Macbooks, but I wonder how much the hype of Leopard is slowing their sales?

Normally I’d think that people planning on upgrading would do so soon after the base machines were upgraded. However, with Leopard coming only four months later, it seems that people might delay their upgrades until Leopard is out or until Apple offers a free upgrade for computers bought after a certain date.

That’s my plan at least.

Time has proven that it didn't exactly slow Apple's sales :)
