Need someone to lead product management at your software company? I build high-craft software and the teams that build it. I'm looking for my next opportunity. Check out my resume and get in touch.

This is the blog of Adam Kalsey. Unusual depth and complexity. Rich, full body with a hint of nutty earthiness.

Stealing Flickr

Freshness Warning
This blog post is over 18 years old. It's possible that the information you read below isn't current and the links no longer work.

Kevin took a huge bundle of balloons from a Flickr party last week and apparently they came with an error message.

TailRank used to have it’s own error message (something about eating some bad sushi) — perhaps it still does and the massage messsage was for a different purpose. Kevin, it might be funny to steal dozens of error messages from other sites and put them in rotation. When you’re down for maintenance, some page loads get Flickr’s massage message, some get the Bloglines Plumber, and so on. Maybe even make the error page look a bit like the original source.

(I’m an advisor to TailRank. I’ve got to say this or the Wall Street Journal might come slap my hand.)
