John’s leaving his job and has tips for anyone doing the same. My single tip would be to never burn any bridges.
You may be tempted to tell your boss and coworkers what your really think of them, but don’t. You never know when you’ll meet up with them again. Someday one of these people may hold your future in their hands; you don’t want them to remember you as the ass from the marketing department.
I’ve known people who were rude to a coworker and then several years later found themselves interviewing in front of them.
Make a good impression on people. They’ll remember it later. Make a bad impression and they’ll remember that too.
