Safeway Delivers

Freshness Warning
This blog post is over 22 years old. It's possible that the information you read below isn't current and the links no longer work.

Contra Costa Times | Safeway rolls out its online delivery plan: "Safeway on Monday will begin delivering groceries ordered over the Internet in the Sacramento area, marking a major step in the grocery giant’s online expansion."

Update: The article mentions that there are ten zip codes in the Sacramento area that already have delivery service as part of a test rollout. I just checked and I’m in one of those zip codes. I’ll place an order sometime soon and write up a review. Since I was an avid Webvan user, I’ll compare the Safeway service to Webvan’s as well.
