The Rational Edge | How Late Are You Gonna Be?: "I believe that a well-managed project can be late by a number of weeks equal to the square root of the predicted number of weeks left. So when you tell me you have, for example, sixteen weeks to go, I am going to assume that you will take somewhere between sixteen and twenty weeks to finish."
