Auction pricing

Freshness Warning
This blog post is over 22 years old. It's possible that the information you read below isn't current and the links no longer work.

An article in NewScientist describes the results of a three-year study into pricing factors in online auctions. The length of the auction, the day of the week that it closes, and the presence of a photo all factor into the item’s bid. If you regularly buy or sell on eBay or another online auction, read teh article to get tips on getting the best value.

Update:
The Discovery Channel also has an article about this study. Their version has some auction tips by the study’s author.
