Does your intranet suck?

Freshness Warning
This blog post is over 22 years old. It's possible that the information you read below isn't current and the links no longer work.

"Scobleizer : Does your intranet suck? While I don’t agree with some of the list ("Does your intranet software cost more than $1000 for your entire company" comes to mind), I’m glad someone is trying to point out that static pages managed with FrontPage doesn’t cut it for a useful intranet.

If every document created for company use can’t be found on your intranet, then something’s wrong. Most companies have some documents in Outlook public folders, some on various file servers, some on the Web, and some on paper.

When your employees need to find information, do they know where to go?
