In Context Magazine’s The Seven Myths of Knowledge Management, Marc Rosenberg discusses several common mistakes that companies make when undertaking a knowledge menagement initiative.
While focused on KM systems, Rosenberg’s list includes problems common to all types of system implementations. Overengineering the technology at the expense of the users; building a system without business needs in mind; and not marketing the system to the users and training them how to use it.
