Think Barry Bonds should have an asterisk in the record book because his record might not be as pure as the previous records? You might think differently after reading a history of home run records and the controversy surrounding them from Williamson in the 1880s and continuing with Ruth, Marris, Aaron, McGwire, and Bonds.

Are Mcguires and Sousa records accompanied by an asterick? Do you think that the big todo over Bonds has any racial conotations?
