This is the blog of Adam Kalsey. Unusual depth and complexity. Rich, full body with a hint of nutty earthiness.

Congress has passed a bill, which the President is expected to sign, that makes it illegal for porn sites to use domain names that are misleading. Who’s going to decide what’s misleading? If I were to start selling naked pictures of myself on this site (don’t panic, I don’t plan to), would kalsey.com be a misleading domain? It doesn’t indicate that there’s porn available. It’s just my name.
The authors of the bill claim that they are only trying to prevent false advertising, but there’s no parallel for that in the offline world. In Sacramento there’s a store called Goldie’s Books. From what I’ve seen of the front of the store, I don’t think they sell books.

Well, as an ex-employee, and occasional customer they do sell books, but you are right in assuming that it's mostly videos and magazines. Just another example of the government trying to exert it's control over the citizens in areas that the citizens don't really want them there. And I just noticed that this entry had been made on my 35th birthday. Heh.
