Favicons are the little icons you see in some browsers in your bookmarks or in the location bar. Mozilla’s tabbed browsing is yet another reason to create a favicon for your site.
Right now I have 25 different tabs open. When I want to jump to a specific tab, it’s much easier to find one that has a favicon than one that uses the generic page icon.
To find out more about creating a favicon, try favicon.com.
