For those unfamiliar with VNC, it is an open-source remote management software package. If you’ve seen pcAnywhere, you have the idea. VNC’s main benefits are that it is free, tiny, and runs on Windows, Unix, MacOS, and even PalmOS. TightVNC / Bandwidth-Efficient VNC Distribution
TightVNC is an backward compatible extension of VNC that is optimized for low-bandwidth connections like modems and wireless links. It is also free and is available for Windows and Unix.
