Deskbar problems

Freshness Warning
This blog post is over 22 years old. It's possible that the information you read below isn't current and the links no longer work.

I’m having some problems with my machine that I think may be related to the Quick Search Deskbar. I’m testing now to see if that’s the problem. I’ll post the findings here.

Update:
The Deskbar was definately involved in the problem. When I removed it and rebooted, everything was fine. Installed it and rebooted, things went wacky. Removed it and things were fine once again. I was low on disk space on my work laptop, so I uninstalled a bunch of trial versions of stuff I was testing out but had long since stopped using to free up some space. After that, the machine works fine even with the Deskbar installed. So the problem could have been the lack of free space. I plan on installing this on my home machines, and if I have problems with any of them I’ll let you know.

yes this is true because the deskbar might have contained spyware and that is a bad GO spyware take a lot of ur computers memory and slows it down and sometimes it crashes it a smart way of deleting spyware other that uninstalling that deskbar would be installing Adaware personal from lavasoft.com
